  169. imo it would have been fine to wear a raincoat
  170. …in reply to @xhfloz
@xhfloz depending on how deep you want to go on it: - paper texture - dilate/erode/blur to get the blobbiness of ink - use some simplex noise to do offsets if you want a bit of inaccuracy - colour separations/fake registration errors - with half tone effects for midtones
  171. …in reply to @v21
@xhfloz most of this is possible with SVG filters, but i think there's a fair few browser incompatibility rabbitholes to chase down. it's very possible to run stuff through a canvas/shader pass, too (maybe there's some stuff about image origins to check for, there)
  172. …in reply to @v21
@xhfloz ofc, there's also the higher level bit about designing in a print-like way vs giving users tools to design in a print like way vs exposing this kind of stuff as a toolbox they can recreate a print-like look with
  173. …in reply to @xhfloz
@xhfloz flat colour, details that don't go finer than a particular pitch, the right kind of colours... you know, just graphic design that feels like it was done by someone thinking about their CMYK separations
  174. …in reply to @xhfloz
@xhfloz SVG filters can do most of this - feColorMatrix, feMorphology, feTurbulence etc!
