    @Nifflas hm, well. two parts to this: 1) are they being an asshole to the contestants. probably! but also they could be considerate when the cameras aren't on. a set of performers inhabiting roles. compare: the host seems nice but the show is exploitative

      @Nifflas 2) are they normalising a culture of being an asshole? sounds like it! but I'd probably call that evil, rather than being an asshole? (evil = knowingly making the world worse for personal benefit. I don't have a pithy definition of asshole, but it's not that, I am pretty sure)

        @Nifflas Personally, I would like to be careful not to condemn people who are playing up to a role, and making it clear it's a role. Let's not ban heels.
