when people post job ads from the company they work for and say: "even if you don't have all the requirements, apply anyway", do they realise they are saying "join a company with policies hostile to under-represented people that I haven't been able to or haven't tried to change"?

I mean, I get it, I am pretty sure I have done this, it's not even bad advice to give. But.

This was going to be a subtweet, but I decided it was a bit harsh, so I have tweeted it an undisclosed amount of time later. Maybe it still is a subtweet? Subtweet status undisclosed.

Anyway, the actual biggest point here is that if you get to edit job listings, make sure you're only asking for requirements and qualifications you actually care about. Because otherwise you'll just filter for bullshitters and chancers. Also, statistically, men.
