I mean, I follow a lot of people, many of whom are bots whose posts I register only subliminally. Maybe it's just that I've not had the practice for watching Stories.

and "feeling like more effort" is not an unconditionally bad thing! but it does make me less likely to engage. TikTok is interesting here - similar vibes, but the constant interaction feels meaningful, because it has consequences you can feel (training the algorithm)
