      @hollygramazio i binged a bunch of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime while bedbound last year & have watched like one ep of Sword Art Online and never really got into it. SAO counts because it's explicitly a game, but most of these shows (like slime) just have generic RPG fantasy settings

    @hollygramazio by which i mean, like, they explicitly talk about gaining abilities, and monsters being "level 1" etc.

      @hollygramazio also remember reading this one about being a vending machine en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reborn_as_a_Vending_Machine,_I_Now_Wander_the_Dungeon - also not textually inside a videogame, just set in a RPG world
