One thing this means is that the real critical insights still get shared, but they get shared in private forums. Who you know determines what you know. On the other hand, maybe we just need a few more years to build up the right psychic armour to resist these temptations. The same way people did with TV ads. Then we can start disagreeing more wholeheartedly again.Look on archive.org

On the other other hand... maybe the hedges and the nuance crammed into every tweet, and the hyperawareness of audience and identity-projection (and thus the private channels which avoid those, or at least provide options)... maybe all of that is the psychic armour coming online.Permalink Look on archive.org
