i found a CNET article from 2013 recommending one, but the link is dead, the extension with the same name doesn't have that feature, and I suspect Google declared this level of power illegal in a recent purgePermalink Look on archive.org

i spent a little longer on this and concluded that the purge was the removal of NPAPI in 2014. so. not recent. but still illegal.Look on archive.org
