    1. tool question: if i want to record a little screen capture from my computer & then post it to Twitter, what should i use for that? currently i use QuickTime & Handbrake, and i would like that to be a single, reliable, step instead. bonus points for not making me make an account.

      thank you for your answers, here is what i have learned: - OBS is great if you're capturing a full window at a known aspect ratio (eg: a game) - ShareX is a cool tool for Windows - the annoying way I'm currently doing it is probably the best way to do the thing I'm trying to do
