i wanna buy a game, but also i know that i don't make enough time to play games. so it seems like a waste.

(Gravity Rush 2)

I bought the earlier game (also in the sale, somewhat cheaper). And then, last night... I played it. Everything worked out!

Thoughts on Gravity Rush: the world isn't as pretty as 2... Partly it's lower res, but mainly it's just brown and muddy.
-
There's a kinda charming PS2 chunkiness to the UI and map icons - held over from the Vita. Makes it nicely unfussy, though.
-
It's got the boring open world structure - side & challenge missions, collectibles, unlocking homes, etc etc. It doesn't entirely know why.
-
And you've gotta do a load of stuff to extend your gravity powers (it starts okay, tho). I guess I should feel lucky there's no crafting?
-
But the flying is great, though! Whooshing around super naturally, learning to hover right before you land to avoid the bad animation. Joy.
-
Even doing a bullshit fetch quest is kinda fine when you start by squinting up into the sky and hurtling into it.
-
Also the main character is nicely flippant, and the plot never takes itself too seriously. Fin.
