@helvetica @doougle yeah, component/socket type approaches it works pretty well for (other than lightmapping, which is just hard any way)

@helvetica @doougle but i grew up as a dev within unity's constraints, so the unity ecosystem is natural and just-the-way-it-is for me.

@helvetica @doougle i'm sure i'd've made different work if i was formed within the Flash ecosystem, then moved to C++ or HaXe or whatever.
